We look at an early series of letters that James Madison writes to a college chum William Bradford from Princeton which reveal his early thoughts on the coming Revolution, and the Northern part of America versus the Southern part.  If Madison showed a tendency to change his politics and thinking and try to hammer compromises, and to think nationally, it came from his Princeton years.
